Softball Recap: Mitchell Takes a Loss

Mitchell fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Steinbrenner on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mitchell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenna Rush, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Steinbrenner, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Mitchell has already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Calvary Christian on the 8th. As for Steinbrenner, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-4 win against Berkeley Prep on the 9th.
