Basketball Recap: Del Valle Takes a Loss

Del Valle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 84-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bel Air Highlanders. The Conquistadores were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Highlanders earlier this season, when they won 64-47.

It was another big night for Matt Hernandez, who went 11-for-17 to rack up 26 points and eight rebounds for Bel Air. Thanks to that strong game, Hernandez now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage. Diego Macias was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine boards.

Del Valle's defeat dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Bel Air, they pushed their record up to 15-17 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Del Valle will welcome Canutillo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bel Air does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
