Baseball Game Preview: Cheatham County Central Cubs vs. Harpeth Indians

For the second straight game, Cheatham County Central will face off against Harpeth. The Cubs will venture away from home to challenge the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cheatham County Central is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Cheatham County Central lost 14-5 to Harpeth on Tuesday.

For Harpeth's part, they got a massive performance out of Aaron Higgs, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. What's more, Higgs posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Charlie Wilson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Harpeth is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Cheatham County Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
