Basketball Recap: Mankato West Comes Up Short

Mankato West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Red Wing Wingers and fell 64-35. The Scarlets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wingers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Mankato West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Red Wing, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mankato West will challenge Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Wing, they will square off against Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northfield has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 209 points over their last three matchups.
