Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Maries). They came out on top against the Timberlake Tigers by a score of 66-58 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-55 back in December of 2024.

Timberlake's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyler Engelson, who posted 26 points, and Maximilian Simpson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 18 boards. The match was Engelson's third in a row with at least 26 points. Lucas Valli?res was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

The win got St. Maries back to even at 9-9. As for Timberlake, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Looking ahead, St. Maries will face off against Grangeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Maries is facing Grangeville at the right time seeing as Grangeville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Timberlake, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lakeside's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
