Softball Recap: Del Oro Comes Up Short

Del Oro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Golden Valley Bulldogs, falling 16-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Suns haven't been shut out since back in February.

Del Oro saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryana Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Del Oro's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Golden Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Del Oro will challenge rival Arvin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Golden Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Mira Monte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
