The Joppatowne Mariners just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Patapsco Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Joppatowne is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 28, 2023 on Thursday. They came up short against C. Milton Wright, falling 62-42. The loss continues a trend for the Mariners in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Patapsco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 84-28 loss at the hands of Towson. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, the Patriots couldn't push the score so high this time.

Patapsco's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Joppatowne, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Joppatowne suffered a grim 57-36 defeat to Patapsco in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Joppatowne was down 39-17.
