Softball Recap: Perry-Lecompton Takes a Loss

Perry-Lecompton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 9-6 to the Santa Fe Trail Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Kaws of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Macie Corcoran made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Meaa Allen, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Perry-Lecompton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Santa Fe Trail, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Santa Fe Trail beat Perry-Lecompton by a score of 12-2 later that day.
