Organ Mountain waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Alamogordo Tigers as they made off with a 9-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 last Monday.

Organ Mountain got a great performance from Brennan McNiece as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. McNiece has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alex Venegas, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Eren De Leon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Organ Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive contests.

Organ Mountain's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Alamogordo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Organ Mountain beat Alamogordo by a score of 5-4 later that day.
