Baseball Recap: Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES vs. Montoursville Warriors

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Mount Carmel ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Montoursville Warriors 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the RED TORNADOES.

Drew Yagodzinskie was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Yagodzinskie was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs.

In other pitching news, Jace Stever looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
