Baseball Recap: Bluejacket Chieftains vs. Commerce Tigers

While Bluejacket's win against Commerce wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chieftains sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Tigers on Friday. Eight seems to be a good number for the Chieftains as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Colton Cochran was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bluejacket is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise. Cochran was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
