League recap: Liberty County stuns Blountstown in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Liberty County, who took down 321st ranked Blountstown, 20-7.

The Bulldogs moved up to 298 from 337 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A District 4. Liberty County climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Tigers 20-7.

Blountstown's Hunter Jordan and Ryan Hathcox have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jordan has thrown for 360 yards this season, while Hathcox, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has five catches for 127 yards. Port St. Joe's Jarkice Davis leads the league in rushing yards with 670.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Greg Jordan's team takes on Franklin County. At the moment, the Tigers are in third, while the Seahawks are in fourth.

Grant Grantham's team extended the longest winning streak in 1A District 4 this week by beating Blountstown, 20-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
