Soccer Recap: Metairie Park Country Day Comes Up Short

Metairie Park Country Day lost against Benjamin Franklin back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns fell just short of the Benjamin Franklin Falcons by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Cajuns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Falcons are ranked 21st).

Metairie Park Country Day has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Benjamin Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metairie Park Country Day will face off against Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Metairie Park Country Day's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Benjamin Franklin, they will host Newman at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
