Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only J.H. Rose walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 86-71 victory over the Croatan Cougars on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Rampants sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Croatan's loss came despite strong showings from Kannon McBride and Trey Jones. McBride almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine boards, while Jones posted 22 points and five assists. Jones has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more points the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Carlson, who had eight points.

J.H. Rose's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.9 points over those games. As for Croatan, their loss dropped their record down to 17-8.

Looking ahead, J.H. Rose will face off against Seventy-First on Tuesday. Seventy-First will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something J.H. Rose surely won't give up without a fight. Croatan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
