Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only J.H. Rose walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 86-71 victory over the Croatan Cougars on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Rampants sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Croatan's loss came despite strong showings from Kannon McBride and Trey Jones. McBride almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine boards, while Jones posted 22 points and five assists. Jones has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more points the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Carlson, who had eight points.
