Baseball Recap: John Marshall Comes Up Short

John Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Faribault Falcons. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

John Marshall saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Leth, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Leth's first of the season.

John Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Faribault, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, John Marshall and Faribault will both be playing Byron the next time they take the field. The Rockets will host the Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Falcons will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
