Soccer Recap: Martin Victorious

After low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, Martin brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They never let the Grand Prairie Gophers onto the board and left with a 7-0 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Warriors' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Grand Prairie from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Rykyr Rives led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Martin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4-1. As for Grand Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Martin didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Bowie on the 31st. Grand Prairie has also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Haltom on the 31st.
