Softball Recap: San Pasqual Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for San Pasqual's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Poway Titans on Friday. The Golden Eagles' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Kayleigh Carby was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, San Pasqual saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally McKinley, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

San Pasqual's record now sits at 9-12. As for Poway, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

San Pasqual didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Rancho Bernardo on the 14th. As for Poway, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Mission Hills on the 14th.
