Basketball Recap: Arapahoe Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Grandview

On Friday, Arapahoe faced Grandview in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Arapahoe Warriors came up short against the Grandview Wolves, falling 66-41. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Arapahoe lost, don't look at Gianna Smith. Despite the final result, she went 6 for 11 en route to 23 points. Smith's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Alexa LeDuff was another key player, putting up five points.

It was another big night for Sienna Betts, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 15 boards for Grandview. Betts has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 37 times she's played.
