Softball Recap: Powers Beats Kennedy for Their Third Straight Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Powers had no problem doing just that on Monday. They skirted past the Kennedy Trojans 12-11. The win was nothing new for the Cruisers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Powers pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Kennedy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Powers will face off against Clatskanie at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
