Kalaheo skates past Moanalua with ease

Recap: Kalaheo Mustangs vs. Moanalua Menehune

Even though the Kalaheo Mustangs have not done well against the Moanalua Menehune recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Kalaheo blew past Moanalua 85-54 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Kalaheo sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Moanalua lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gavin Pommerenk, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Kimbrough, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

Kalaheo pushed their record up to 12-16 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Moanalua, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Coincidentally, Kalaheo and Moanalua will both be playing Kaimuki the next time they take the court. Moanalua will head out to face Kaimuki at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Kalaheo will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
