Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Demons vs. Crestwood Knights        
        
		
            
 The Lugoff-Elgin Demons pushed their score all the way to 73 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell  82-73 to Crestwood. While losing is never fun, Lugoff-Elgin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 104th, while Crestwood is ranked second).
 Several Demons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Braylen Mumford, who  scored 15 points along with nine  assists and three  steals. Those nine  assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was  Nigel Chivers, who  scored 19 points along with five  assists.
 Lugoff-Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Crestwood, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that  victory, which was their 13th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Lugoff-Elgin's road trip will continue as they head out to face Aynor at 5:00  p.m.  on December 20th. Crestwood will take on Christ Church Episcopal in a holiday battle at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday at.
