Baseball Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

Canyon's last matchup with Eagle Pass could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Canyon Cougars lost 7-1 to the Eagle Pass Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Eagle Pass, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Canyon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on the 7th. Eagle Pass has also already played their next matchup (against Caney Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
