Basketball Game Recap: Mt. Vernon Mountaineers vs. Marshfield Bluejays

Mt. Vernon lost against Marshfield on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mt. Vernon Mountaineers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 42-38 to the Marshfield Bluejays, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mountaineers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Bluejays are ranked 361st).

This is the second loss in a row for Mt. Vernon and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Marshfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10.
