Baseball Game Preview: Kennewick Lions vs. Walla Walla Blue Devils

The Kennewick Lions will head out to take on the Walla Walla Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennewick's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Walla Walla's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Kennewick will head out to face Walla Walla after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. The Lions fell 5-1 to Chiawana. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Riverhawks since Tuesday.

The home team had won the previous seven meetings between Walla Walla and Hanford, and Hanford kept the tradition alive. The Blue Devils took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons on Tuesday.

The defeat was their first at home, dropping their record down to 12-4. As for Walla Walla, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Kennewick got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Walla Walla by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
