Recap: McDonogh 35 Roneagles vs. West Jefferson Buccaneers
The McDonogh 35 Roneagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They walked away with a 31-21 victory over West Jefferson. The win was just what McDonogh 35 needed coming off of a 52-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, West Jefferson saw an underclassman step up: Mariah Meloncon scored 10 points.
The victory got McDonogh 35 back to even at 3-3. As for West Jefferson, they bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDonogh 35 will play host again and welcome Eleanor McMain, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Jefferson in Louisiana (St. Mary's Academy is ranked 117th, while West Jefferson is ranked 340th).
