Volleyball Recap: Wayzata Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wayzata entered their match against Minnetonka on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skippers. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Skippers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Wayzata started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 10-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-18.

Wayzata's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Minnetonka, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Wayzata and Minnetonka should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Trojans will square off against Eden Prairie at 5:30 p.m. on the 25th with a big rank advantage (40 vs. 139). Meanwhile, Minnetonka (ranked 88th) will meet Buffalo (ranked 246th) at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
