Soccer Game Preview: Pahokee vs. Glades Day

Pahokee is 0-10 against Glades Day since January of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Pahokee Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Glades Day Gators at 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pahokee's offense. They came up short against South Fork on Tuesday, falling 13-0. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 554th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, Glades Day kept a clean sheet against Moore Haven on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Terriers by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Gators were the better team in the second half.

Madison Baez and Alana Baeza scored both of Glades Day's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Pahokee and nudges their season record down to 0-8-1. As for Glades Day, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.
