1. Blackman (Murfreesboro, Tenn.)
2013-14 record: 34-1
Coach: Chad Hibdon

The defending Xcellent 25 national champion will start the season as No. 1 in the country again, which makes it pretty easy to slot Crystal Dangerfield, Alex Johnson, MeMe Jackson and friends at the top of Tennessee. And did I mention Blackman is playing a brutal schedule?

2. Ridgeway (Memphis)
2013-14 record: 30-4
Coach: Rhonda Kendall

Ridgeway rolled through Tennessee's postseason until running into Blackman in the AAA finals, and a lack of elite competition might have caught up to the Roadrunners. But with Brandi Beasley and Eryn Foster back, don't be surprised to see the same matchup at season's end.

3. Oakland (Murfreesboro)
2013-14 record: 26-7
Coach: Jennifer Grandstaff

Oakland may have lost three seniors, but the big guns are back — including Ansley Eubank and Shelby Gibson. In addition, transfer Abby Wright has arrived from Lancaster Christian, where she averaged 22 points and eight rebounds per game.

4. Riverdale (Murfreesboro)
2013-14 record: 20-8
Coach: Cory Barrett

If you like young talent, you'll love Riverdale, which has reloaded with two outstanding freshmen (Brinae Alexander and Alexis Whittington) and a top sophomore (transfer Anastasia Hayes). There's only one senior, so there may be some peaks and valleys, but given the talent on board, the peaks should be pretty high.

5. Elizabethton
2013-14 record: 27-3

The defending AA champs bring back Kelci and Kayla Marosites, plus plenty of help, so a repeat title is a definite possibility. It's hard to say just how good Elizabethton really is, however, as they don't play a particularly challenging schedule.
