Football Recap: First Flight Comes Up Short

First Flight had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-7 to make it eight. They took a blow against the Pasquotank County Panthers, falling 56-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Nighthawks' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Pasquotank County, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 35 points or more this season.

Pasquotank County was led to victory by Josiah Bennett and Tyshawn Spencer. Bennett threw for 205 yards and three TDs on only ten passes, while Spencer rushed for 64 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Bennett a new career-high in passer rating (152.1).
