Football Recap: Park Ridge Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Park Ridge had won two straight games and Patrick Randolph did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Owls came out on top against the Bogota Buccaneers by a score of 28-16 for which the team can thank Randolph, who rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 117 rushing yards.

Park Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Sam Fasola led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Randolph got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Park Ridge's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bogota, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Park Ridge will face off against rival Wood-Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Owls 12.2, the Blue Devils 5.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bogota is set to square off against their familiar foe Weehawken at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
