Basketball Recap: Key Drops Highest Score of Season Against Cristo Rey Jesuit

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Key). They came out on top against the Cristo Rey Jesuit Hornets by a score of 62-51 on Thursday. The Obezags have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Key found their leader in sophomore Anjo Yette, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 29 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yette has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Dent, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

With the victory, Key broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Key will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Park School at 5:45 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they will take on North Harford in a tournament on December 27th.
