Football Game Preview: East Lake Eagles vs. Largo Packers

For the first time this season, East Lake will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Wednesday. They are taking a road trip to square off against the Largo Packers at 7:30 p.m. East Lake's defense has only allowed 10.6 points per game this season, so Largo's offense will have their work cut out for them.

East Lake is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 31-0 victory over Clearwater. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Largo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-14 heartbreaker at the hands of Northeast. While the Packers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Vikings 7-0.

East Lake now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Largo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

East Lake strolled past Largo in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 19-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Lake since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
