Volleyball Recap: Custer County Takes a Loss

Custer County lost against The Vanguard School back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bobcats came up short against the Coursers, falling 3-0.

Cadence Weeks paced Custer County's offense, picking up nine kills. Weeks got some help from Stephanie Lewis and her 19 assists.

Leading The Vanguard School to victory were Laila Czarniawski and Aili Haisley. Czarniawski had 12 digs, while Haisley had 15 digs and two assists. Haisley has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Custer County's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for The Vanguard School, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Custer County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against La Veta on the 14th. As for The Vanguard School, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Swink on the 11th.
