Football Recap: Centauri Starts Season with Victory Against Meeker + How To Watch

Centauri took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 34-6 victory over the Meeker Cowboys. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Centauri's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Carson Shawcroft and Dallyn King. Shawcroft rushed for 70 yards and two TDs while King rushed for 80 yards and one score.

Centauri was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 302 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centauri is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Pagosa Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Meeker, they will head out to square off against Wiggins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
