Basketball Recap: Beaver's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Beaver and South Sevier squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Beaver had to settle for second. They fell 41-32 to the South Sevier Rams. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rams this season, with their most recent defeat being a 49-44 loss on February 4th.

It was another big night for Sydnee Patterson, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards for South Sevier. Another player making a difference was Kinley Jenson, who posted six points and five rebounds.

With the defeat, Beaver broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.3 points. As for South Sevier, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Beaver has already played their next match, a 59-16 victory against Grand County on the 21st. As for South Sevier, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-33 win against Kanab on the 21st.
