Baseball Game Preview: Round Rock Christian Academy Crusaders vs. New Braunfels Thunder Homeschool

The Round Rock Christian Academy Crusaders will take on the New Braunfels Thunder Homeschool at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Round Rock Christian Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Brazos Christian on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Ryan Lieder was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Meanwhile, New Braunfels Thunder lost 14-2 to Lutheran last Thursday. The loss was the Homeschool's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Braunfels Thunder fell to 2-1. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Round Rock Christian Academy beat New Braunfels Thunder 12-9 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Round Rock Christian Academy repeat their success, or does New Braunfels Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
