Baseball Recap: Walled Lake Central Starts off Right with Win over Skyline

Walled Lake Central had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Skyline Eagles. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on four straight dating back to last season.

Luke Nelson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Caden Buckley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

After both having extra time off, Walled Lake Central and South Lyon East will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 4:00 p.m. on April 2nd. The match will give South Lyon East their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. Skyline will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodhaven at 4:00 p.m. on April 2nd. Skyline is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
