Football Game Preview: West Linn Lions vs. Tigard Tigers

For the first time this season, West Linn will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Tigard Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Linn will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

West Linn is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Camas, who was ranked 14th in their home state at the time (West Linn was ranked first). The Lions simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Papermakers 41-0. Considering the Lions have won three matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Tigard was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 35-31 to Sherwood. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bowmen recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Tigard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for West Linn, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for West Linn against Tigard when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
