Baseball Recap: Palm Beach Gardens Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Royal Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Jupiter Christian Eagles by a score of 5-2.

Ian Vertucci spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tony Bieber, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chase Turner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Palm Beach Gardens now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Jupiter Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Beach Gardens will head out to square off against Jensen Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jupiter Christian, they will square off against Saint Andrew's at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
