Basketball Recap: Springville Drops Season-High Score on Iowa Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springville). They breezed past the Iowa Valley Tigers to the tune of 98-23 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Orioles sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Springville's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.6 points. As for Iowa Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Coming up, Springville will host Winfield-Mt. Union on February 18th. Springville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Winfield-Mt. Union likes a good challenge. As for Iowa Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-52 win against H-L-V on the 13th.
