Softball Recap: Wahama Finds Home Field Redemption Against Sherman

There's no place like home for Wahama, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Sherman Tide on Friday. This was a revenge game for the White Falcons: when they faced off against the Tide on Thursday, they had to take a 7-6 loss.

Elissa Hoffman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven runs (all of which were unearned) on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Audrey Reynolds was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalyn Christian, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Wahama's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-6. As for Sherman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-13 record this season.

Wahama will square off against Greenbrier West at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the White Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. Sherman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
