Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Spokane vs. Mead

Mt. Spokane hasn't had much luck against Mead recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a proper cat-fight when Mt. Spokane faced off against Lewis & Clark on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Mt. Spokane can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Lewis & Clark are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Mead didn't have quite enough to beat Ferris on Wednesday and fell 2-1. Mead have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Spokane's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-2. As for Mead, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Mt. Spokane came out on top in a nail-biter against Mead when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
