Basketball Recap: Fayetteville Falls Short Against Ranked Springdale

On Saturday, Fayetteville faced Springdale in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Fayetteville might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 69-64 to Springdale, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Fayetteville hasn't had much luck with Springdale recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fayetteville's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Springdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Fayetteville and Springdale will both be playing Bentonville the next time they take the court. Springdale will head out to face Bentonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fayetteville will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
