Basketball Recap: Leadership Academy Extends Winning Streak to Five

Leadership Academy strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They strolled past the Mount Airy Granite Bears with points to spare, taking the game 65-49.

Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Ryker led the charge by dropping a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, Ryker is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. Graham Hronich was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leadership Academy will welcome College Prep & Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mount Airy, they will be playing at home against Elkin at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
