Baseball Game Preview: St. Martin Yellow Jackets vs. Brandon Bulldogs

For the second straight game, St. Martin will face off against Brandon. The Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

St. Martin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Brandon.

For Brandon's part, Jay McQueen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

St. Martin has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Brandon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-12.
