Volleyball Recap: Middle Creek Wins Going Away Against Wakefield + How To Watch

Middle Creek barely beat Wakefield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Wolverines 3-0 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Cameron Gerber was nothing short of spectacular: she had 22 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024. Sage Bennett also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Wakefield lost, don't look at Ella Murphy. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and three assists.

The victory got Middle Creek back to even at 4-4. As for Wakefield, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Middle Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Fuquay - Varina at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wakefield, they are taking a road trip to square off against Broughton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Capitals will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
