Volleyball Recap: Thomas Nelson Comes Up Short

Thomas Nelson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Evansville Christian Eagles.

Thomas Nelson might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Evansville Christian: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23.

Evansville Christian can attribute much of their success to Jocee Weisenborn, who had 12 digs and three aces. Millie Haase also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Thomas Nelson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Evansville Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Coincidentally, Thomas Nelson and Evansville Christian will both be playing Allen County-Scottsville the next time they take the court. The Generals will host the Patriots at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
