Softball Recap: Renton Comes Up Short

Renton lost against Hazen back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Hawks lost 23-10 to the Highlanders. The Red Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Sophina Zebley led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mayliahna Pitoau, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Renton's record is now 1-13. As for Hazen, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-15.

Looking ahead, Renton will challenge Tyee at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hazen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
