Berlin had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Plainville Blue Devils. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Redcoats also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Berlin had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-18, 25-22, 25-19.

Leading Berlin to victory were Ava Gombotz and Mya Lamoureux. Gombotz had 29 digs, while Lamoureux had 29 assists and 11 digs. Lamoureux has been hot, having posted 16 or more assists the last five times she's played. Shea Carlson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Berlin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in 11 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Berlin's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Plainville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Berlin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Platt on the 29th. As for Plainville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Wethersfield on the 29th.
