Baseball Recap: Skyview Sets Scoring Season-High Against Rangeview

Skyview scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Rangeview Raiders by a score of 11-10. The defeat leaves the Wolverines still looking for their first win of the season.

Isaiah Rodriguez put in work no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Joseph Trujillo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those hits were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Carlos Carrillo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Skyview's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rangeview, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
